You can't go wrong for an original menu of Pacific food. I love the Garbage Plate. It is a little bit of everything, very tasty and good quality. Watch the red stuff on the side of the plate, it is extremely hot! –Mike
If you're looking for nightlife, Mama Kwan's kicks off the weekend pretty hard on Friday nights. There is usually a DJ and the place gets packed, including the dance floor. Always good times.–Michelle R.
Best mahi tacos I've ever had, blackened to perfection, love the lime sauce. The Hawaiian pork is also excellent. Beer selection could be a little better, but typical for OBX restaurants. Great atmosphere and staff. We plan to try every item on the menu –Paul S.
Must try the fish tacos!! My boyfriend and I drove 8 hours to get to NC. We were looking for a chill restaurant/bar with good food. We tried out Mama Kwan's and we were more than satisfied with our decision. Based on reviews that we read we ordered the blackened fish tacos and chicken tacos. The fish tacos were to die for. The chicken tacos were good too. The music and atmosphere was very laid back. It seems like a lot of the locals go to this spot. We had the chocolate cake for dessert and which was yummy!!–Christine
